I recently got a fake FW18 Supreme Navy Bogo Crewneck from StockX. I did some pretty extensive browsing and found that in cases like these, StockX can either treat the customers in a pretty shitty way -- making the return process pretty long and painful -- or just take the item back and give them a refund.

The two main issues that are apparent in this piece are the positioning of the tags and the stitching of the wash tag. With respect to the tags, the "Supreme" tag with the size on the back and the "Made in Canada" tag are much too close to each other. There should be at least a little space between the two tags. However, in the crewneck I purchased, there is no space at all; in fact, the tags somewhat overlap. I have attached a picture of the crewneck I purchased with the verification tag and a comparison of a real box logo purchased from Supreme. For all the images attached, the top image is the box logo I purchased and the bottom pictures are pictures of real crewnecks. The second issue that I have identified is the wash tag's stitching. Normally there is a singular clean stitch across the wash tag. However, on my hoodie the wash tag is tucked underneath the stitching which is one of the most blatant signs that a crewneck is fake. I have also attached a similar comparison picture, where the top picture is the crewneck I received and the bottom picture is a real crewneck. Finally, I have included a picture of the entire box logo as an extra picture in case that is needed. To reiterate, all of the top pictures are the ones I have taken of my box logo crewneck; below are images of real crewnecks. I have also included the order information from StockX itself as a reference for the tracking numbers DHL had provided me.

I have bad experiences with Grailed and receiving fake items before (I received a blatantly fake Supreme Peach Box Logo Hoodie from Grailed) and so I thought by purchasing from StockX I would not encounter a similar issue. It is incredibly disappointing that two such blatant errors were overlooked when this is such a hyped and expensive item. My friends have generally trusted StockX in the past and as such I felt comfortable buying from you guys but I find myself incredibly disappointed when not one, but two egregious errors were overlooked.

Here's an album of the comparisons (as mentioned in the e-mail, top images are the from the one I got on StockX and the bottom ones are from the r/supremeclothing subreddit from the weekly thread posts for legit checks):

I went to six flags today and saw a guy with a fake supreme leopard camp cap. I was wearing my Croc Strap Camp Cap and he sortof eyed my hat. I didn't wanna be an asshole and call him an idiot but I also cant stand fake supreme. What would you have done?

Fake Supreme, of course, is not exactly a new problem. At the top of the year, Supreme emerged victorious in a counterfeiting lawsuit in Italy. Following the suit, an estimated 120,000 pieces of fake Supreme were set to be seized. Still, the counterfeit hustle continues.

I worry that I'll lose $700 because eBay can't tell if the hoodie is fake or not even with all the evidence and proof I have. There are a lot of good fake Supreme box logo hoodies so eBay is going to have a tough time. But there is a clear fake eBay can see and if eBay can spot the flying 'e'. I feel like I can get my money back. I am a seller too and I sell Supreme. I don't sell fake Supreme because it's against eBay policy and also I'm not a **bleep**.

You don't have to prove it is fake. Surely, everyone is aware that there are counterfeits all over the place. $700 isn't a high-dollar issue that you should really be concerned about getting to return, but If you lose on eBay, file with PayPal. If you lose there - and you paid with a Visa or MC debit card - or any credit card - file a chargeback.

If you know that hoodie is fake and you also sell them why would you buy it ? It may be a difficult return if your seller sees you are trying to eliminate the competition. They will call Ebay, complain and report YOU.

Because I have read many seller's posts and there have been many who have WON cases BECAUSE the cried to Ebay that it was a competitor. I am not out to get the OP but I do find it curious that they know for sure the by looking at the LOGO that the item is a fake. Was there not a picture of the LOGO when they purchased the item ?

Unless you can post pictures of the front and back of the headstock, it is difficult to help you with it. Your description is a bit confusing. I will say that 02005514 would indicate a Gibson USA guitar from 2005. That serial number is not in the format of anything from the Custom Shop(CS) at all. The CS used to do somethings on Gibson USA models, but that ended back in the early to mid 1990's. So from what you are describing it sounds fishy. Rather than take the time to post photos, and reply to this and wait for another reply, there is a much easier way to get information. E-mail Gibson at service@gibson.com or better yet call them at 1-800-4-GIBSON. You can call them toll free from anywhere in the world and they are there 365 days a year 24/7. They can tell you what guitar, if any, the serial number pulls up. I would be seriously suspicious of it saying Custom Shop, but having that serial number format. A lot of the Chinese fakes do that. Also, if you are looking for a guitar to invest in, forget it unless it is part of a very limited run, or a one off custom order that is confirmed by Gibson. Any other Les Paul you buy, will never hit the values of the original 1950's guitars in your lifetime, your kids' lifetime, or even your grandkids' lifetime. The reason is because since mid - late 1969 they have been just one of hundreds of thousands, if not millions made. I did a total once using a reference book, and I think between 1970 and 1980 they had made over 100,000 LP Customs alone. The original 1950's LPs are very rare compared to post 1969 models. There was only something like 1700 sunburst finish Les Pauls made between 1958 and 1960. The Custom Shop turns out close to that number (if not more) of most of the reissues each year. This means that a CS 1958 (for example) reissue Les Paul, is probably going to be 1 of 10's of thousands made. So unless you get one from a very limited run, like the first 25 Jimmy Pages, or a one off, you will never see the fantastic appreciation that the originals have seen.

The earliest mention I found was right here in the Gibson Forum from Jan 2008 when it's then owner was also concerned about it being a fake. He had paid a whopping $650 for it and as the base going rate in the USA for a used Supreme seems to be in the region of $2,500.......

Hello, I have one les paul supreme 2011, serial number 117 810 664. I buy it in France (Lyon), so I want to know if this guitarre have ebony fingerboard, I know that gibson changed the ebony to richlite in 2012 so i just want to be sure that my guitarre was built with ebony fingerboard, thatk you very much, Gerardo.

Many of this term's Supreme Court decisions are indefensible when it comes to law and precedent. 303 Creative takes it to the next level, however, being a fake case that was decided by a fraudulent judge. The Supreme Court, in its current iteration, is illegitimate. What that means politically is hard to say, though ideally, it would open the door to court reform that would restore both sanity to the decisions and credibility to the court. But with Republicans controlling the House of Representatives, any such reform is a pipe dream. The current situation, with a court that has no right to do what it is doing, is untenable. They've forsaken their legitimacy, and hopefully, that means soon Americans will get fed up enough to strip them of their power.

Legal fake is a phenomenon in the fashion industry wherein a third company precedes the original brand company in the registration of the trademark, running its own business, from production to sales, in another country. By exploiting the products, creativity, marketing, and advertising strategies of the original brand, the company misleads consumers, who are not aware that the goods are fake goods. Thus, its typical traits lay upon the question of intellectual property, trademark registration laws among different countries, advertising strategies, and consumer behaviour.

Legal fake, like all contradictions in terms, uses auto-antonym to illustrate a rhetorical point. Legal fake is not a legal term and should not be confused with counterfeit. Although it replicates the original products, its aim is to create a new business parallel to that of the original brand, proposing itself as an authentic brand. Compared to counterfeit products, legal fakes exploit brands that are well-known only to specific groups of people.

The term legal fake was first used in reference to a legal case involving the American streetwear company Supreme, and an Italy-based company by the same name (Supreme Italia).[1][2][3][4] Through this case, several judgments by the Tribunale di Milano clarified and defined what "legal fake" means.[5]

No new creative elements were added to the legal fake version, as stated by the first judgment from the Tribunale di Milano of 26 January 2017, according to which the Italian company repeatedly used the same brand, advertising images and graphics as the American one. Supreme Italia aimed at targeting a wider range of consumers by looking for more shops and retailers throughout Italy for the products distribution. This process brought Supreme Italia into the spotlight, reaching Supreme NY's attention and leading to the legal case.

Legal fakes are possible because they take advantage of uninformed consumers, who can be easily deceived and influenced by the latest trends promoted through celebrities endorsement and social networks or digital platforms. It is now among the most widely used communication strategies which have recently proved to be efficient and able to reach the goal of credibility among consumers.[16] e24fc04721
