Why I Started Writing

I didn’t start writing to change the world or anything dramatic like that. It just began… quietly. A few poems here and there. Some odd little short stories. It was a hobby something soft and personal, like a favorite sweater you don’t wear out but never throw away.

Then school happened. Suddenly, people—teachers mostly—started taking my writing more seriously than I did. I was told to be more structured, more focused. Less dreamy, more direct. And weirdly, I liked the challenge. I started writing between contrasts, emotion and information, softness and strength.

Eventually, it clicked. Writing wasn’t just something I did. It was something I was.

So I leaned into it. Kept going. Grew up a little, wrote a lot more, and decided maybe this thing I love could also be a future.

And now… here I am. Still writing. Still figuring it out. Still in love with the process.
