JKML

External Student Committee or Jawatankuasa Mahasiswa Luar, is responsible for the wellbeing and safety of students that are staying outside the university campus.

This committee comes to my knowledge during the  first Movement Control Order (MCO) when they help handout food bank donations to students residing in rental house.  JKML attracts my attention differently than any other club or association in the university. It sparks something in my heart to give out a hand and do something, if not for the university, it's for the students. November 2020, I reach out to them as I found their advertisement looking for new exco members. Their attitudes during the interview makes me feel more interested to join the family and also contribute to the community. They even allow us to pick which exco we would like to join, without hesitation, of course I'm picking the welfare exco, and that's how I become part of their team!

End of January if I'm not mistaken, during the exam weeks and we're almost reaching the end of the semester, I got the first chance to do some contribution to the team. We were assigned to collect the students data and help in assisting to blast the information on how to apply for supporting letter that allows the students to request permission letter for crossing the state border during the MCO. It was a pleasant experience, working as customer advocates for YTL Digital Sdn Bhd helps give me the boost of confidence and customer experience knowledge to handle the data confirmation process. 

For the moment, I'll make this committee as my small family while studying in Malacca. I hope to learn more from them and sow at least some good deeds  for the university, and the community.
