1. The first and second floors of the College Library are designated as quiet areas. If you need to be able to discuss freely, please use the Discussion Library at the third floor. The FAITH Catholic School Library is designated as a quiet area in its entirety.
2. The facilities, resources and services of the FAITH Library are open to all officials, faculty, non-teaching personnel, alumni and students of FAITH. Researchers and students from other institutions may be allowed to use the library upon presentation of a referral letter from their librarian or library director and the payment of a library fee. Researchers from NOCEI member institutions are exempted from paying this fee.
1. Each patron is required to present their identification card at the entrance. Do not loan out your Identification Card to other library users.
2. Patrons are advised to leave their bags, umbrellas, envelopes and the like at the bag depository. Please do not leave any valuables at the depository area as the library is not liable for any loss of personal property.
3. Each borrower is responsible for the proper use, safety and return of any and all library materials charged to his/her name. Elementary and Junior High School students are allowed to borrow up to two books for three days. College students and Fidelis students are allowed to borrow up to three books for seven days. School officials, faculty and non-teaching personnel are allowed to borrow up to five books for fourteen days.
4. Library hours for the College Library are 7am — 6pm Mondays through Fridays, and 8am-5pm on Saturdays with the exception of holidays and breaks. The FAITH Catholic School Library is open from 6:30am — 5pm Mondays through Fridays. Non-FAITH clients are allowed to use the library on Saturdays. Any changes to the regular schedule shall be posted.
5. The library is an area for study and learning. Food, gum, tobacco products and beverages other than water are prohibited. Texting on cellphones is allowed, but cellphone conversations should be taken outside. Playing video games on any device is prohibited.
8. The use of electrical outlets in the library is restricted to those who are using laptop computers or tablets; charging of cellphones is not allowed.
9. Computer usage shall be limited to one hour per client if there is queue to use the facilities. The computers in the College Library are for internet-use only, encoding/word-processing is not allowed.
10. Library users are advised to leave used books on the book truck. Do not shelve library materials yourself.
11. Books may be renewed once if there is no reservation placed on them.
12. Overdue materials are assessed a fine beyond the due date/time. A recall notice may be sent as a courtesy. Failure to receive a recall notice will not be considered as a reason for the cancellation of fines. Patrons with overdue materials and outstanding fines may not borrow any materials from the library.
13. General reference books and materials are for library use only.
14. Reserve books and materials may be borrowed for overnight use beginning 4:30pm from Monday through Friday and 4pm on Saturday. They are due to be returned before 9am the following school day. Reserve books and materials fines are computed on an hourly basis. A fine of ₱5.00 for the first hour and an additional ₱1.00 for each succeeding hour or fraction thereof, shall be charged, excluding Sundays and Holidays.
15. Circulation books and materials fines are computed on a daily basis beginning the school day after the due date. A fine of ₱5.00 per day, excluding Sundays and Holidays, shall be charged.
16. Materials brought out for photocopying and not returned on time shall be charged a fine of ₱5.00 per hour or fraction thereof.
