European Beech wood is the most versatile and widely used timber of all, though its density is high and is quite a tough wood, yet is simple to cut, drill, mould or carve the wood. Other species of Beech wood are known as American Beech, Copper Beach, Tri-colour Beech, Japanese Beech etc. The species differ in color from each other, but the quality and durability remain constant. Beech wood is suitable for making many functional items, several musical instruments and sports equipment are made of Beech wood besides regular plywood, furniture, houses, cabins etc.
Color / Appearance: The color of the sapwood is light yellow, and the inside is a light red or a brown shade, it has the tendency to change color over time and becomes darker.
