Our Sunday worship service begins at 9.30 am. While there is a degree of uniformity in our order of service, we also encourage quite a variety, including the singing of both hymns and songs and the incorporation of certain readings. The services are usually led by lay-leaders, and we encourage other members to be involved in music accompaniment, the taking up of the offering, prayer, etc. Children are also encouraged to attend the worship service. The service normally ends by 11.00 am. This is followed by refreshments and a time of fellowship.
Pre-school children and their parents are welcome to use our crèche room during the service. A discrete audio speaker in the room enables parents to follow the sermon if they wish.
This begins at 11.15 am after the worship service. Children between the age of 4-11 years are welcome to join us.
This also begins at 11.15 am after the worship service. Young people aged between 12-17 are welcome to join us.
We observe the Lord's Supper on the 1st Sunday of each month. We practise "open" communion and, therefore, encourage all who visit with us and have trusted in Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord to join us at this observance. You need not be baptised to join us at the Lord's Supper.
As a Church, we are committed to prayer and fasting on the last weekend of each month. We begin fasting on the Saturday evening and break fast together after the worship service. We also devote some time to praying in small groups for the life and ministries and mission of the Church, and for specific individuals.
An additional prayer meeting is held on the second Sunday of each month, at 8:30 am before the service.
Occasionally, we conduct 30-60 minute workshops after our Sunday service. This might cover areas such as theology, missions, apologetics, church history, discipleship and a Christian response to contemporary issues. Everyone is welcome to stay and participate.
