EDUCATION
My time at Bates was transformative. I studied photography, video production, graphic design and animation. I gained a firm foundation in the intersections between technology, aesthetics and design. During my last semester, I interned at Pierce County Television, where I created graphics, animations and edited videos, while shadowing and running remote cameras for city council meetings.
I learned how to analyze society, social structures, and human behavior by examining how groups, cultures, and social institutions interact and shape individuals and society. My senior thesis examined the "Digital Switch," which compared how amateur and professional photographers adapted to the technological change.
