His expertise spans surgical and non-surgical procedures, pediatrics, men’s health, antenatal care, and the management of chronic diseases. He currently serves as the Director of MyHealth Rhodes Pty Ltd (non-clinical) in Rhodes, New South Wales, Australia. Though no longer practising, he continues to play a key leadership role in the healthcare sector. His passion for integrating medicine with innovative technologies drives him to attend conferences, seminars, and workshops exploring the latest developments at the intersection of healthcare and technology.
Describing himself as a “relentless learner,” Dr. Qidwai has made lifelong education a cornerstone of his personal and professional philosophy. He actively studies a range of disciplines beyond medicine, including engineering, science, and technology, allowing him to stay informed about emerging innovations across multiple fields. This broad intellectual curiosity has helped shape his approach to leadership, philanthropy, and professional development. His belief in continuous learning as the foundation of growth and excellence has defined both his career and his contributions to the community.
Dr. Qidwai’s academic journey began at the University of New South Wales, where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree. Drawn to the problem-solving and design aspects of the discipline, he developed strong skills in project management, innovation, and construction. After graduation, he worked on large-scale projects with publicly listed companies, including residential developments, commercial fit-outs, and infrastructure upgrades.
In these roles, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, managing teams, overseeing contracts, and ensuring quality assurance throughout all stages of development. Though he achieved great success in engineering, Dr. Qidwai credits this experience with shaping his analytical mindset and methodical problem-solving abilities — qualities that would later prove invaluable in his medical and managerial roles.
Despite his success in engineering, Dr. Qidwai sought to expand his horizons. In 2004, he enrolled in the Law Faculty at the University of New South Wales but later shifted his focus to medicine and community health. He joined Bond University in 2006 and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Medicine, specializing in surgery.
While studying, he consistently excelled in both theoretical and practical assessments and volunteered at student-run clinics that provided essential healthcare to underserved populations on the Gold Coast. His early exposure to community health inspired his ongoing dedication to improving healthcare access for all.
Following his graduation, Dr. Qidwai undertook residencies at Nepean Public Hospital and completed a Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course. His growing interest in surgical procedures led him to specialize in skin excision and the management of skin cancer. In 2014, he earned a diploma in child health from Westmead Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2015. He later completed an advanced skills course in skin and cancer surgery (2018) and pursued further training in dermoscopy, excision, sedation, and vasectomy.
Although he has since stepped away from clinical practice, these experiences laid the foundation for his expertise and informed his leadership approach in healthcare administration.
Since assuming the role of Director of MyHealth Rhodes Pty Ltd (non-clinical) in 2015, Dr. Qidwai has played a pivotal role in transforming the clinic into a leading healthcare facility. Under his guidance, MyHealth has evolved into a multidisciplinary “super clinic” recognized for its innovation, collaboration, and patient-focused philosophy.
His leadership emphasizes strategic development, operational efficiency, and the integration of advanced medical technologies. Dr. Qidwai’s focus on creating a collaborative and holistic healthcare environment has established MyHealth Medical Centre as a trusted institution known for its excellence in patient care — even as he continues to serve in a non-clinical capacity.
Philanthropy has been a defining aspect of Dr. Qidwai’s personal and professional life. Inspired by the values instilled by his parents, he has always believed in giving back to the community and supporting equitable access to healthcare.
He actively contributes to charitable organizations, including the Aboriginal Medical Services in Sydney, which provides free check-ups, mobile clinics, and culturally sensitive healthcare. He has also collaborated with community organizations serving Sydney’s Muslim population, offering support through health education, screenings, and specialist referrals. His ongoing philanthropic initiatives reflect his deep commitment to compassion and service.
