Let's reverse the most harmful impacts of climate and energy mismanagement while also creating opportunities for economic empowerment in communities that are most impacted by climate change.

Communities of color face unequal access to energy generation and battery storage, which is a concern given the potential for power outages due to the rising number of major weather events caused by climate change.

We'll ensure that environmental justice is a key consideration in where, how, and with whom we build – with a focus on training and job placement for the betterment of our communities.

Where possible, we'll facilitate for the upgrade and weatherization of homes, workforce development with a choice to join a union; and also encourage the building, retrofit, upgrade or electrify home appliances and installation of more efficient windows, which will cut residential energy bills.

We'll leverage programs like Justice 40 initiative which aims to deliver 40 percent of the overall benefits of federal investments in climate and clean energy to disadvantaged communities.
