Biographical Sketch
Yong-Hoon Choi graduated from Yonsei University with a B.S. in Electronics Engineering in 1995. He received his M.S. in Electronics Engineering from Yonsei University in 1997 and Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Yonsei University in 2001. From 2001-2002 he was a postdoctoral research associate in the Institute for Systems Research (ISR), University of Maryland, College Park, MD, where, he worked mainly in the area of MPLS Traffic Engineering with Prof. Mark Shayman. From 2002-2005 he was with Network Research Laboratory, LG Electronics, Inc. as a Chief Research Engineer. Since 2005 he has been a faculty member in the Department of Information and Control Engineering at Kwangwoon University where he is a Professor.
Dr. Choi's research interests are in the broad area of communications networks. Specifically, he is involved in research in spectrum calculation, wireless drone networks, and machine learning.
Dr. Choi received the 28th Choon-Gang Award in 2013 from Choon-Gang Memorial Association.
