Abstract
The digital transformation of Industry 4.0 is often more complex than initially envisioned, with costs and efforts frequently proving to be substantial. This complexity arises primarily from various types of software components/systems within operational technology (OT) equipment lacking APIs and standardized data exchange formats. Equipment may be confined to enclosed environments or subject to technical constraints imposed by equipment vendors. Furthermore, industrial software systems frequently encounter a plethora of unstructured data, such as CAD/CAM data, which can lead to interruptions in the automation of Industry 4.0 processes, thus affecting a company's digital optimization. In this keynote, we will introduce an emerging software technology: the Industry-ready AI RPA (Robotic Process Automation) Agent. This technology distinguishes itself significantly from the popular office automation (OA) RPA by being entirely computer vision-based.
