For the year of 2018-19
Do you believe art can change reality?
The Bat Yam Factory invites artists and creators from multiple disciplines to develop interactive works in the public sphere and in the community in three tracks:
- Social-Community-Activist Theater
- Art in the Public Sphere
- Site-Specific Performance Art
For our upcoming fifth year, in cooperation with the course of Community Theater and Social Artivism in the Deaprtment of Theater Arts at Tel Aviv University, the Factory is opening its doors to invite groups, artists, and creators from multiple disciplines to explore and develop new work.
The Factory includes workspaces for theater rehearsals, dance, performance and a cooperative studio for visual artists.
The open call is designated for artists interested in creating and developing year-round, with artistic guidance and as part of a community of artists working with and as a part of the community surrounding it.
The residency begins on October 29th, 2018 for the period of one year (until October 2019).
Deadline for applications: September 13th, 2018.
