Greetings! & Welcome

My name is Elissa Widomski. I teach Middle School FCS in Verona NY. I have been teaching since the 2009-2010 school year. I have students for 10 weeks and they transition to 3 other unified arts classes: Art, Music & Technology. I see them in 7th grade and 8th grade. I also push into our 5th and 6th covering topics such as career prep and learning.

In my Grade 7 classes I cover: Wellness, Kitchen Safety and Nutrition, Cooking labs and hand sewing/laundry - starting using "Make It Mondays"

In my Grade 8 classes I cover: Wellness, Machine Sewing, Employability Skills with Interviews & Resumes, and Financial Literacy (Fun Financial Fridays).

NYSAFCSE partnership

We will have an added bonus this year! NYSAFCSE members will have access to their own "virtual region" and professional learning group hosted through my FaCS PLG! The link will be the same, the topic calander will be determined after the first meeting on September 18, 2023 at 6 pm est.
