SCP-096, also known as "The Shy Guy," is a pale, emaciated humanoid standing roughly 2.38 meters tall. It remains docile under normal conditions, but will enter a state of extreme emotional distress and violent pursuit if anyone views its face—whether directly, through video footage, or even in photographs. Once triggered, SCP-096 will relentlessly hunt down the viewer, regardless of distance, until the target is terminated. To prevent such incidents, SCP-096 is to be contained in a sealed, airtight steel cube at all times, with no surveillance equipment or windows inside the chamber.
Weekly checks must be conducted using pressure sensors and laser rangefinders only. Any visual documentation of SCP-096’s face is strictly prohibited and must be destroyed immediately upon discovery. Personnel assigned to SCP-096 must undergo psychological screening and be trained in blind handling protocols to ensure zero exposure.
SCP-049, known as "The Plague Doctor," is a humanoid entity dressed in robes resembling those worn by 15th-century physicians. Despite the appearance, the garments are part of its biological structure and cannot be removed. SCP-049 is generally cooperative with Foundation staff, often engaging in conversation and expressing a deep concern for what it calls “the Pestilence”—a term it has never clearly defined. When SCP-049 encounters a subject it believes to be infected, it will attempt to perform a fatal “curative” procedure, resulting in the subject’s death. Post-mortem, SCP-049 may attempt to reanimate the corpse, though these instances show no higher brain function and are extremely hostile. SCP-049 is to be contained in a secure, standard humanoid containment cell at Facility-██, monitored at all times via audio surveillance. Interaction is permitted only with Level 2 personnel and above, and physical contact is strictly forbidden unless authorized for testing. All instances of SCP-049-2 (reanimated subjects) are to be terminated immediately upon creation.
SCP-173 is a statue-like entity composed of concrete and rebar with traces of Krylon-brand spray paint. It is animate and extremely hostile, capable of rapid movement when not under direct observation. The creature attacks by snapping the necks of its victims or strangulation, typically within seconds. SCP-173 cannot move while within a direct line of sight, making constant visual contact essential for safety. It must be contained in a locked, reinforced containment chamber at all times. Entry into SCP-173’s cell requires a minimum of three personnel, and all must maintain eye contact with the entity until they have exited the chamber. The room must be cleaned biweekly due to a persistent buildup of a reddish-brown substance on the floor, believed to be a combination of blood and feces. Any failure to follow protocol can result in immediate fatality.
SCP-330 appears to be a standard candy bowl filled with assorted individually wrapped sweets. A handwritten note attached to the bowl reads: “Take no more than two.” When a subject takes more than two pieces at once, SCP-330 will instantly sever both hands at the wrist, regardless of the subject’s physical location or protective measures. The mechanism behind this effect is unknown, and attempts to bypass it have consistently failed. SCP-330 is to be kept in a secure storage locker at Facility-██, accessible only to personnel with Level 2 clearance or higher. Interaction is permitted solely for approved testing, and all subjects must be briefed on the two-piece limit prior to engagement. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate disciplinary action and medical intervention. Under no circumstances should SCP-330 be treated as a harmless object.
