Welcome to Facenix App!
This Privacy Policy explains how Facenix App (“Facenix”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles your information in connection with the Facenix mobile application (the “App”). Facenix is an online face-swap tool that helps you generate unique, creative content.
We respect your privacy and process your personal information only for the purposes described below and with your consent where required. By installing, registering for, or using the App, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy, which forms part of our Terms of Use. We may update this Policy from time to time as described in Section 8.
a) Information you provide directly
Photos. We may collect photos you take in the App with your device’s camera and photos you upload from your device. Camera uploads require your permission.
Videos. We may collect videos you create in the App and videos you upload from your device. Camera uploads require your permission.
Facial features. To provide the face-swap functionality, we may process facial feature data derived from your photos solely to generate the effect. We do not treat this as biometric data and do not use it for identification or authentication.
b) Usage data
When you use the App, we may collect information about how you interact with it (e.g., pages viewed and time spent), IP address, traffic source, device and OS details, wireless/mobile network information, unique device identifiers (including IDFA), region, browser type, language, battery level, and time zone.
We use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook App Event Tracking to gather device/usage details (e.g., model, screen resolution, OS, session duration, location signals) so we can understand user needs, measure campaigns, and improve performance and relevance.
c) Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies—small data files stored on your device—to support authentication and provide features. Facenix uses session cookies that expire when you close the App. You agree to our cookie use by clicking the relevant consent prompt. We may also use pixels, web beacons, and local storage to support features and understand usage.
Core functionality. Facenix does not use your videos, photos, or facial features for any purpose other than providing the face-swap effect. We do not implement face recognition or any method of biometric identification or authentication.
Processing steps. To create your face-swap result:
You upload a picture or video to our server.
Our server analyzes the image and returns processing results.
The App combines those results with your materials to produce the final effect.
Information is kept temporarily in encrypted storage and then deleted.
After synthesis is completed, your uploaded pictures are automatically deleted (no later than 24 hours after the editing session ends). We do not retain face data beyond what is necessary to produce the effect.
Other uses of non-image information. We may use information other than videos, photos, or facial features to:
provide, improve, test, and monitor the App and its effectiveness;
troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix technical issues;
enhance safety and security;
analyze trends and usage;
develop and test new features;
understand your needs and provide services and advertisements relevant to you;
use cookie-derived information to enhance your experience.
Uploaded Content. Content you submit may be cached or displayed for your convenience during your session and for a limited period on your device and/or in the cloud. By submitting content for swapping, you consent to its collection and temporary storage as described here. Facenix does not use Uploaded Content for face recognition or biometric identification.
Changes of purpose. If we ever intend to use information for purposes different from those listed above, we will notify you in advance and, where required by law, seek your additional consent.
Face data is not shared with third parties. Photos you upload are deleted once analysis and synthesis are completed as described above.
Storage and infrastructure. We use secure providers such as Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services, which implement robust data-protection frameworks and practices designed to safeguard your information.
Integrated platforms. Facenix may integrate the following platforms:
Firebase (Google) — app development and quality tooling;
AppsFlyer — mobile attribution and marketing analytics;
Amplitude — product analytics and behavior insights;
Google Analytics — traffic and usage analytics;
Facebook App Event Tracking — usage and event analytics.
These third parties have their own privacy policies and practices. We do not control them and encourage you to review their policies to understand how your data may be handled.
International transfers. If your information is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable data-protection laws, including standard contractual clauses and comparable mechanisms.
Legal compliance. We may disclose information where necessary to comply with law, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Data retention. We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
Photos and videos are stored on Facenix servers only for the duration of your editing session and are deleted no later than 24 hours after the session ends. Outside of that, photos and videos used with the App are stored locally on your device and can be removed by deleting them from your device or uninstalling the App.
Anonymous/aggregated or de-identified information may be kept as long as needed for the purposes set out in this Policy.
Data security. We use technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized processing, loss, destruction, or damage. We work with vetted contractors under data-processing and confidentiality agreements and train our personnel to follow internal data-protection procedures.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access & portability — request details of personal data we process and obtain a copy in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format;
Rectification — request correction or completion of inaccurate/incomplete personal data;
Erasure — request deletion where processing is no longer necessary or no lawful basis exists;
Restriction — request limited processing in circumstances provided by law;
Withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time without affecting lawfulness of prior processing;
Object — object to processing in cases permitted by law, including direct marketing, at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us via the details in Section 9. Requests are free of charge unless otherwise permitted by law.
We will respond to rights requests without undue delay and within one month of receipt at the latest. Where requests are complex or numerous, we may extend this by up to two additional months and will inform you of any extension within one month, including reasons for delay. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
General age limit. The App is intended for users 13+. Anyone under 13 is not permitted to use the App or provide personal information. Users under 18 should obtain a parent’s or guardian’s permission before sharing personal information with Facenix. We may request reasonable proof and may disable access if proof is not provided within three (3) business days.
EU residents. Due to GDPR requirements, EU residents must be at least 16 to use the App unless parental/guardian permission is provided as above.
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13 (or under 16 for EU residents), we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible. If you become aware of such use, please contact us using the details below.
We may revise this Policy to reflect legal, regulatory, or operational changes. We will post updates in the App and/or otherwise notify you. If you continue using the App one week after a notification is displayed, you will be deemed to have accepted the changes—unless applicable law requires your explicit consent.
