Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Meta Ad Library Analyzer Chrome Extension handles your data. Short version: we collect nothing, send nothing, and store everything locally on your device only.

🔒 This extension reads ONLY publicly visible ad transparency data from Meta's official Facebook Ad Library (facebook.com/ads/library) — the same data any user can view without logging in. No private data is ever accessed.

1. Extension Purpose (Single Purpose)

Meta Ad Library Analyzer has one single purpose: to help users research and analyze publicly visible advertisements on the Facebook Ad Library. It scans, saves, filters, and exports ad data that is already publicly accessible on facebook.com/ads/library.

2. Data We Access

The extension reads the following publicly visible information displayed on the Facebook Ad Library page:

• Advertiser/page names (publicly visible)

• Ad text/copy (publicly visible)

• Ad status (Active/Inactive — publicly visible)

• Platform labels (Facebook, Instagram — publicly visible)

• Ad start dates (publicly visible)

• Media thumbnails/images (publicly visible)

This is identical to what any person can see by visiting facebook.com/ads/library in their browser.

3. Data Storage

All data is stored exclusively on your local device using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local).

4. What We Do NOT Do

6. Data Deletion

You can delete all locally stored data at any time:

• Via the extension popup → Saved tab → "Clear All"

• Via the extension popup → Competitors tab → remove each entry

• By uninstalling the extension (all local data is automatically deleted)

• Via Chrome Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cookies and site data

7. Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, crash reporters, or advertising networks.

8. Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the version in the Chrome Web Store listing. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
