The principal aim of the Fabulous Friday Society Foundation is to strengthen the foundation of local small businesses through extensive training programs, supporting both emerging startups and revitalizing established ones. These programs are led by experienced local professionals, aimed at fostering growth and sustainability in our community. Additionally, we aim to enhance the well-being of business owners by hosting health and wellness activities designed to rejuvenate and refresh.
Fabulous Friday was founded by Danielle Edmond. In 2017, with the encouragement of friends and the drive to bring better entertainment opportunities to Pittsburgh, she began having an annual event that guests have come to know as upscale, drama-free, safe and, of course, extremally fun. Growing from a couple dozen guests to over 650 guests in 2024, Fabulous Friday is an established brand amongst the 30+ age group, business owners, entrepreneurs and corporations. With sponsors ranging from local pizzerias to Port Authority, Fabulous Friday is a wonderful opportunity for all. The 50/50 charity raffle has raised thousands of dollars over the years benefitting local and national charities. In 2025, The Biddy Mason Award for Small Business Excellence was given to a deserving local small business in partnership with Catapult Greater Pittsburgh and was presented at The Black Out by Pittsburgh Steeler legend, Joey Porter Sr.. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Danielle continues her mission of providing an event people can look forward to annually.
