Step 1: The teacher could actually read the short version of The Lion and the Mouse before showing the more creative story accompanied with a video.

Step 2: Create a folder somewhere safe on your computer and name it Fables.

Step 3: Download the handout titled Fable Plan. Save it in the Fables' folder you created in step 2. Download the rubric and feel free to revise it according to your expectations.

Step 4: Read the directions on the Fable Plan handout and then complete the write-up. You can see the Example page to see the difference between the original and revised version of the Fable. If you have trouble locating fables, check out the following site: Aesop's Fables

Step 5: Once you have re-written one of the fables, you are ready to record your write-up in Audacity. See the video on how to record something.

Collaboration: Students can type up or paste the original Fable into a Google Doc and invite more than one person to revise the story.

Multimedia: If students want to put together a multimedia presentation on their revised story they can do so using movie editing software.
