Fabio Furini conducts theoretical and methodological research on the central themes of Combinatorial Optimization and Operations Research. He is especially interested in developing exact algorithms based on decomposition and reformulation techniques for integer linear programming (ILP) problems. Fabio Furini has published over 40 articles in international Operations Research journals, such as Mathematical Programming, Operations Research, INFORMS Journal on Computing, European Journal of Operational Research, Computational Optimization and Applications, Operations Research Letters, Networks, Transportation Research Part B, and many more. Additionally, he has published numerous articles in international peer-reviewed conference proceedings, such as IPCO, ISCO, INOC, CPAIOR, and many others. Fabio Furini has over 60 co-authors at European and American universities, and a vast network of international collaborations. He is also committed to the editorial board of three prestigious international journals in the field: Omega, Annals of Operations Research, and Discrete Applied Mathematics.
