In conjunction with the Town of Cary Fire Department, the role of Farmer 911 Emergency Photography is to document large emergency scenes and operations by picture and video for:
The general public to understand a closer, more detailed "behind the yellow tape" view of emergency operations and the role their first responders play.
Emergency responders in the Town of Cary, so they can access the footage and photographs in a training or incident review environment.
The Town of Cary, if they wish to publish such footage or photos on any sort of news, or social media.
Farmer 911 primarily responds to incidents within the Town of Cary municipal jurisdiction, however we will frequently cover scenes that include the Town of Apex and the Town of Morrisville. This is because of a jurisdictional agreement between all three municipalities (Cary, Apex, and Morrisville) that essentially eliminates jurisdictional lines between all three fire departments in an effort to reduce response times and increase exceptional service to the citizens within the area. As a result, the Town of Cary Fire Department is frequently responding the Town of Apex and Morrisville, especially in situations that warrant a response from us. This agreement - the CAM agreement - is an excellent demonstration of high-class service between three different municipalities and has proven to be extremely effective. The fire administration as well as individual firefighters, council members, and staff for every town ensured that a seamless transition into the CAM system could be done, and us at Farmer 911 (and the citizens of all three towns) are very grateful for the hard work and dedication that was put into such a successful agreement.
My name is Matt Farmer, and I am the owner/creator of Farmer 911. I graduated from Cary High School in 2019, and I work as a non-sworn security officer for a local college campus police department. I am currently a Probationary Firefighter for Western Wake Fire Rescue and a Police Explorer Captain for The City Of Raleigh Police Department Explorer Post 911. I am studying criminology at North Carolina State University, and am minoring in music. I was a Young Marine for the Capital City Young Marines until 2018, where I was honorably retired. After college I have hopes to pursue a career as a police officer for the town Town of Cary, and I would like to go on to pursue a masters degree in public administration as well. Thank you for visiting and being a part of our growing page, and I’m so very thankful that all of you support us!
I am Jeremiah Thomas and I too graduated from Cary High School in 2019, there I was in the marching band and winter drum line for 4 years playing snare drum. I am a Captain in the Raleigh Police Department's Explorer Program and plan to become an Officer in the city of Raleigh after college. I was also part of the Capital City Young Marines and retired in 2018. I am also currently in the U.S. Navy to help my law enforcement career.

While this is a question asked by many, there is a simple answer: because we love it. With both of us planning on entering a career in law enforcement, this is our way of keeping the fire service and it's great members within us. We do this for fun, as a hobby, on our days off- solely because we love it. We love to frame the best pictures and deliver them to the stations, we love to show everyone the great men and women of the fire service, we love to support them, and we love to consistently provide a positive outlook on the Town(s) of Cary, Apex and Morrisville. We truly hope that you all feel the same. We are entirely grateful for all of our supporters.
