Professional Qualification
- Special Experience and interest in developing interactive student-centered learning motivating environments and in technology use in education (Blended as well as distance learning), including but not limited to Game-based learning, interactive case-based learning, role-plays, flipped classrooms, face-to-face & virtual learning stations, TBL, educational theater, peer teaching, and student-centered project-based learning and awareness activities.
- Besides, developing relevant integrated project-based learning assignments, cases, and assessments for basic medical sciences curricula to enhance the level of integration between basic medical sciences and increase their relevance to future practice.
- Proposing and implementing innovative solutions to problems faced in the medical education process in the local as well as international contexts: examples are virtual learning stations used for the first time in medical education, meme project-based learning in pathology, a comprehensive, innovative online pathology course at times of COVID-19 pandemic [please refer to publications]
- Experience in complete planning, organization, and implementation of Virtual international medical education and pathology conferences with building international collaborations in faculty development.
- Pathology & medical education-related course design and coordination in an integrated modular curriculum, instructing students, designing & implementing assessment methods including integrated assessments, participating in quality unit work, students tutoring in problem-based learning sessions (PBL), carrying out exam control unit work and exam invigilation, evaluating, developing and implementing improvement plans for pathology courses, carrying out scientific research & international publication, mentoring students, teaching staff and assistants, coordinating and presenting workshops and seminars in Pathology and Medical Education.
