(100)INTRO:
What should be done to maximise the benefits of mountain biking? That is what today's inquiry will be focusing on because what could be done or should be or has been done that is what we want to know or find out from this inquiry today. The solutions we have come up with 3 possible solutions the first solution will be talking about today is compulsory mountain biking for everyone. Our second solution for today will be to make more tracks so people will get self motivated and our third and final solution for this problem or question is making it one of many compulsory sports at all schools.
(150)P1:So why should mountain biking be compulsory for everyone because it is good for you and it's good for the planet/environment because you are using your body/muscles to move.on the other hand when you are driving a car you are releasing carbon and bad fumes into the environment from the gas in the motor of your car. mountain biking uses your muscles to move helps you get stronger legs and arms from going over bumps on the road or on the track you are riding on.if you ride on the road a road bike will be better. It has better dimensions which will make your ride better, easier and faster. It will be a normal and easy ride if you ride everyday it is also a lot better for the environment the bad thing is you have to pay for tires and tubes for your bike that isn't that good for the environment let alone your wallet, because tyres aren't cheap and they are made out of rubber and those aren't good for the environment.
(150)P2:So the minuses of compulsory mountain biking there are a few things like you always have to buy things to keep your bike in good working condition Maintenance for short which means once every week or two putting some new lube on your chain. For example if you haven't ridden your bike for a month it's time to get some lube and shift through all your gears so your gears have lube on them so they shift easily and properly. The other minus of compulsory mountain biking is if you live to far away from any tracks you have to take a car and buy a bike rack for that car.Which leads to the other minus taking cars to get to the track which is expensive because of the cost of gas and if you don't have one it is also the cost of a bike rack that will fit your car and your bikes.
In
(150)P3:Our second solution is making more tracks. This paragraph will focus on the pluses of this solution. The first plus is more tracks because we desperately need more mountain biking tracks in tauranga that are convenient for a lot more people to access without having to take a car. Although there some easy to ride tracks down 17th ave you are able to bike to the bmx track or to the tauranga crossing shopping center because they have made tunnels to make it safer for people to walk or bike there.even so we do need to have more accessible tracks so more and more people will eventually decide that they want to give mountain biking or just biking a shot to see if they like it or not if they don’t like it their will be other sports than can give a go, because they don't have to mountain bike just biking will help them.
(150)P4:So now the minuses of making more tracks like the cost the it will cost a lot of money to get people that are willing to do the job most people will want to be payed for a job to be done like that is that time consuming and will take months and months and a lot of people to keep the tracks well maintained which is the reason why a lot of people don’t like doing these kinda jobs and also even if they get enough people to do the job it takes months to prepare and all the diggers and stuff cost money for fuel and maintenance if the diggers and the other machines like trucks etc break down it will cost a lot to repair if its a major repair.now the other minus is what it does to the land we decide to build it on because we can't just go destroying the native trees we have here in tauranga.
(150)(pluses)P5:Last but definitely not least our third solution to our question
Start making it one of many compulsory sports at school as a subject which would be a really good idea because then a lot of kids/teens will be out there getting into mountain biking at a young age.The pluses of having it as a option for a compulsory sport are the sport actually gets more publicity because kids and parents will know about it if it is an option for a compulsory sport because if is one of many compulsory they will get to choose when they want to do the option of riding or learning how to do things on a bike how to change wheels change tubes or anything really that is related to mountain biking of course and how to do the things that bike shops do when service the bike when you take it in.So from that perspective it saves money because we don’t have to take the bikes in because we can do it ourselves.
(150)(minuses)P6:So now onto the minuses of this solution because it isn’t the only sport that would be compulsory and it is not that expensive compared to our other solutions. Due to the fact that it is just a little change it is quite convenient but not that convenient compared to our other solutions like making more tracks or making mountain biking compulsory. Although it is convenient all schools would have to buy the bikes that they would need to provide and with that comes maintenance to keep the bikes safe for kids to ride.Even if the bikes are good and kept safe for kids to ride the kids need to be/stay motivated to be a mountain biker because it is a rough sport it's not unusual to come home with a few cuts, bruises or maybe even sometimes a broken bone trust me it hurts but it is all worth it.Once you think you have ridden the up a hill equivalent to mount everest it is all worth coming back down even if you fall off but there just battle scars to show your friends.
(150)(favourite solution)P7:So now onto our favourite solution to our question which is making more tracks because that is the 2nd most realistic option for us because it will be very hard trying to make mountain biking compulsory for everyone because that is just insane and people will say stuff about rights and so on but the making it a compulsory sport at schools is slightly more realistic but still not our favourite solution and here's why. Number 1 we wouldn’t have to put the bikes on the car and drive all the way over to rotorua or out to oropi to have a good time on good tracks we could just pedal for 5 minutes or so and there we go a good track that we don’t have to wait 45 minutes for. Number 2 people will be more motivated if they don’t need all this expensive stuff to take their bikes somewhere when they could just ride for 5 minutes that is why making more tracks is our favourite solution.
(150)(best solution)P8: So now we have been over our favourite solution it is time to go over the best and most realistic solution which is:
Make it an option for a compulsory sport because it is the most realistic even though making more tracks is our favourite this solution is the best for our question and our city because it won’t actually cost that much it is convenient sort of. I don’t think it will affect anyone in terms of how many hours it will take to set up there will be a lot and i mean a lot of maintenance to keep all the bikes in shape and even after all that the motivation of the kids here in tauranga would be pretty high.So that is pretty much why this is the best not the favourite but the best solution for our city and the answer to our fertile question What should be done to maximise the health benefits of mountain biking?
(100)Conclusion:So now that we have been over all the solutions and our favourite and our best solution it is time to conclude this report. So our fertile question What should be done to maximise the health benefits of Mountain biking? That was what we were focusing on answering this inquiry so we have come up with our thesis/solution to this question which is making mountain biking an option for a compulsory sport at some schools. That is our thesis/solution to our fertile question that this inquiry is focusing on answering. So now I ask you this would you do mountain biking as a sport at school if you had to?
