Welcome to EzClean: Phone Storage Cleaner ("Cleaner","we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your data is handled safely. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
To provide our storage optimization and privacy services, Cleaner requires access to certain information on your device.
Photos, Videos, and Files (Storage Access): We need permission to access your device’s media library to identify duplicates, similar photos, and large videos so you can clean or compress them.
All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): To provide our core Private Photo/Video Vault feature, the app requires broad storage access. This permission is necessary to reliably scan, move, encrypt, list, and restore your hidden encrypted files. Standard storage access (SAF) requires repeated manual folder selection and cannot provide a reliable user experience for automatic vault recovery, especially after an app reinstall.
Usage Data: We may automatically collect anonymous data about how you interact with the app (such as features used, crash reports, and performance metrics) to help us fix bugs and improve the app.
We use the accessed data strictly to provide the app’s core features:
Private Vault: To hide and securely restore your selected media. The app encrypts the files you choose to hide and stores them in a hidden, app-managed folder on your device's shared storage.
Smart Cleaning: To scan, detect, and organize duplicate or similar photos and screenshots.
Video Optimization: To compress large video files directly on your device.
Performance: To analyze app stability and fix technical issues.
Crucial Note on Your Media & Permissions: The use of the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission is strictly limited to managing your private vault and cleaning device storage. All photo scanning, AI analysis, video compression, and file encryption happen locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or share your personal photos, videos, or files to our servers or any third-party servers. Your personal media stays safely on your phone.
We may use trusted third-party services (such as Google Play Services, Firebase Analytics, and Adjust) to monitor app stability, attribute marketing campaigns, analyze user engagement, and serve advertisements. These third parties may collect basic, anonymous device identifiers (like your Advertising ID, IP address, or device tokens) in accordance with their own privacy policies.
We prioritize the security of your device data. For the Private Vault feature, we apply robust local encryption to protect your hidden files in the app-managed folder. Because our app processes and encrypts all your personal files locally on your device, the risk of data breaches through our app is minimized. We also use standard security protocols to protect any anonymous analytics data we collect.
Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
