9 Different Eyeliner Styles on HOODED EYES

Hi everyone welcome back if you're new here my name is smitha. Welcome to my channel. Hooded eyes are beautiful and I will show you how you can pull off nine different eyeliner styles on hooded eyes.

So if you're ready, let's begin and if you're new here please take a moment to subscribe, I post new articles every tuesdays, thursdays and sundays. Before we begin, let's see if we have hooded eyes what are hooded eyes. Let's look straight in the mirror and let's try to look at our lid space. Can we see our lid space or is it hiding under some extra skin or the hood? Then that's hooded eyes. Now, if you have hooded eyes and if you try to do eyeliner like you would normally do then this is what happens. Let's try to draw the eyeliner with that beautiful wing in the outer corner and let's try to look straight now. What happened to the wing? It's because when you open your eyes, the fold of the hood interferes with the wing and it looks different, but you most definitely can work around it and I'll show you nine different ways let's start with the simplest technique, the tight line using this black eye pencil by colourpop, I'm going to swipe it in my upper waterline tightlining, also known as the invisible eyeliner is one of my favorite techniques to subtly enhance your makeup.

Look finish up by curling. Your lashes and applying a coat of mascara that'll instantly make your lashes appear, fuller, darker and thicker. Next, if you want to make your lash line a little bit bolder, you can go for a simple basic eyeliner for this, I'm going to be using the ofra liquid liner in black and I'm going to simply sweep it across my lash line. The basic rule is to keep it very close to the lash line, so it doesn't interfere with the hood. If you prefer an elongated eye, look, you will like the foxy eye completely, avoiding the full line. I'm going to first draw my outer wing. Next, I'm going to take the eyeliner all along my lash line, keeping it very close to the lash line and then I'm going to elongate it in the inner corner, false lashes.

That wing out look fantastic for this look but I'm going to be cutting these lashes into half and using the inner half in the outer corner and that my friends is the foxy eyeliner look. Another option is to keep it small. We call this the thin line or a smooth line using the ofra liquid liner, I'm going to pull out the smallest wing and keep the eyeliner very close to my lash line. This is also referred to as the classic eyeliner. Next we have the smoky corner or the double up. All I'm going to do is use the black eye pencil in the very outer corner in my top and lower lash lines and using a small shader brush, I'm going to smoke it out. This technique will make your eyes look longer, bigger and brighter. If you have a problem going across your lash line, the next technique will help you, because we will fake it till we make it.

First, I'm going to draw out a wing avoiding the fold of the hood and here's the trick. Instead of going across my lash line with the eyeliner, I'm going to be using false lashes with a thick lash band that'll give the illusion of an eyeliner while choosing lashes, for this look make sure to choose something: that's wispy, so you can still see the lid space. One of my favorite styles is the c wing for this. We will start with a simple eyeliner across our lash line and then I'm going to draw my outer wing extending my lower lash line and then attaching it back to my upper lash line going over the fold. Now because we went over the fold when you lift that fold, you will see a small gap, all you have to do is connect it. So when you open your eyes, you still have that wing and it doesn't interfere with the fold another one of my favorites is the river smokey eye, and for this all you'll need is a small brush, preferably an angled brush or a flat shader brush.

You can also use a q-tip and some black eyeshadow, I'm going to be taking some black eyeshadow with this angled brush and I'm going to start with the outer half of my lower lash line. Lining my lash line and then pulling out a wing, so it's called a reverse smoky eye because we are reversing it. Instead of doing it in the top lash line, we're pulling out a wing and lining our lower lash line. That way, it won't interfere with the fold or the hood, and then we have the smoky outer using the ofra liquid liner. I'm going to start with the basic, simple eyeliner right across my lash line, then using some black eyeshadow with a small shader brush.

I'm going to smoke out the very outer corner which gives the illusion of a smoky wing. This look can be also perfect for every day, with a nude lip or make it a formal one with a bright red lip. Although this tutorial was meant for hooded eyes, just remember, these eyeliners can be used on any shaped eyes, including hooded eyes. That's it my friends. I hope you enjoyed this article.
