Eyeblink Opticals is a small, private optometry practice situated within Constantia Kloof, Nu Prime Clinic in Roodepoort.
The practice was started in 2020 after our Optometrist, Mrs Thapelo, wanted to create an environment in which she could set her own standards, techniques and more importantly, the level of care when tending to her patients. It's with this reason that here at Eyeblink Opticals, Quality over Quantity will always be chosen.

During your cataract screening the doctor will test your vision and examine your eyes with a slit lamp microscope to look for problems with the lens and other parts of the eye. The pupils are dilated to better examine the back of the eye, where the retina and optic nerve lie.
The doctor performs a standard Eye Exam. A proper contact fitting and eye exam begins with a thorough eye exam. Contact Lens Preferences. At this point, the doctor will discuss your contact lens preferences and expectations. Eye Surface Measurements then we perform a tear Film Evaluation and contact lens Fitting.
A normal eye examination is performed by our optical doctor which includes testing the patients visual function and eye health, the response of pupils to light. An evaluation of eye focusing, eye teaming and eye movement abilities is also performed on the patient.
A certificate is then given to you by the optometrist as proof that you took the test, There is small fee for the certificate.
