The mouse control could be improved setting "Input / scale mouse relative movements" (if that's not enough I may even add a customizable multiplier to change the sensitivity any further).

But the real trouble is that everything works fine up to the actual gameplay: when you have to control goofy with the keyboard, it locks unless you move the mouse (not easy, since you need both hands for steering and jumping) or the Alt key.

Maybe the dinput8 logic could be changed to send periodic null relative movements with progressive ids (it's a little bit complicated, yoou should know the cumbersome logic of dinput interface ...)
