Novi Sad Urban Climate Research Team that consists of experts in the fields of climate change, urban heat island, outdoor thermal comfort, heat-related mortality and hospitalization, demography, urban design, and statistical analyses. This interdisciplinary team provides a wide array of knowledge and skills to tackle complex research topics such as the impact of heat on the local population. Project team members are active members of the International Society of Biometeorology and the International Association for Urban Climate, two organizations that provided a lot of knowledge and skills related to human biometeorology and urban climate effects.
The team intends to continue working on climate and health-related topics with a focus on the health and well-being of the population in urban areas. Accordingly, urban overheating due to climate change and urbanization is an environmental, social, and economical crisis are in the focus of our future research.
