Extra Awesome is a program that connects UPEI students, primarily athletes, with kids with Down syndrome through weekly social activities. We promote inclusivity, friendship, confidence, and teamwork in a fun, supportive environment. We pride ourselves in including siblings of participants, providing respite for families while fostering a strong sense of community and bonds between siblings.
We are partnered with the PEI Down Syndrome Society to enhance community outreach and support.

Grace is the founder of Extra Awesome UPEI and provides oversight and support to our executive team. She also works hand in hand with the PEI Down syndrome Society.

Kate works closely with Grace and Zach and helps drive the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring all initiatives align with our mission. Kate also serves as the main line of communication between Extra Awesome and our participant's parents.

Zach works closely with Grace and Kate and helps drive the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring all initiatives align with our mission. Zach also helps acquire and manage sponsorships for Extra Awesome so that we are able to spread awareness of our initiative.

Emma keeps Extra Awesome connected with the community through social media engagement and updates. Emma works very closely with Bianca to ensure all communication is streamlined.

Bianca plans, directs, and oversee's Extra Awesome's marketing initiatives in order to spread awareness and align with our mission of the organization. She works very closely with Emma to ensure all communication is streamlined.

Lily oversees the chapter's bank account, creates budgets, manages reimbursements, and handles opportunities for grants to ensure financial health and support for our activities.

Juliette organizes and manages all external events in regard to fundraising or participant-focused activities to ensure successful execution and achieve our organizational goals.
