is a Research Scientist at the European Commission, JRC, Centre for Advanced Studies with a focus on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on Human Behaviour. Previously, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the Human-Media Interaction group at the University of Twente, the Netherlands, with a focus on Human-Robot Interaction. Her research interests lie in the ways in which interactive and intelligent systems, including humanoid and non-humanoid robots, affect human cognitive development. She is particularly interested in the processes of structure emergence in early childhood as well as in the novelty-based cognitive development, with musical creativity as an area of application.
