Education is a basic human right that allows individuals and societies to reach their full potential. However, access to quality education varies greatly around the world. In this four lesson unit, I will compare and contrast access to education in Bolivia versus the United States. By exploring the differences in access, availability, affordability, and quality of education in Bolivia versus the U.S. , students will gain critical insight into how improving access to education can benefit individuals and support a country’s development. This website will have all four lesson plans alongside the materials needed for each lesson. This unit planning is intended for upper elementary to middle school age groups.
