My very first blog... ever!!!

Hey! If you are reading this, you are reading my very first blog! Thank you for being here. First, I should give myself a little introduction. My name is Mia.  (Yes, just like the song/play/musical Mamma Mia. I love that musical!) My mom did not name me Mia because of the musical, but I am still glad the connection exists. 

Introducing myself in just a few sentences is hard. It feels like the first day of school when they ask you all of those silly ice breakers like "What 3 things would you take with you on a deserted island?" or "Describe yourself in three words?" I am seriously tired of people saying movies and books that they would take with them on this fictional island. I do not care about being entertained if I am stuck on an island with no clean water or food. I would bring a full flare gun (for planes to see), a charged radio that could connect with other radios that are on planes, and clean water. My only goal would be to get off the island, not to read all of War and Peace, like many people strive for while being stuck on this fake island. I respect their choice, but I love my air conditioning and clean water. 

Now that I have gotten sidetracked and gone down a random tangent, you now know how I think and write. Random tangents and getting sidetracked in my blogs won't be a rare occurrence so please stay along for the ride, if you please. Thank you in advance! 

You may be thinking, "What gives her the authority to write a travel blog at 16? She is too young to have travelled much." Well, I totally get that misconception, but... you are incorrect. My mom is an international lawyer. Though she may spend many nights at 4 am on work calls with people across the world, she also gets to travel to those same places that she calls. My mom and I are very close. I am always her plus one to every event and party. Therefore, I am also her travel buddy! I am very lucky and privileged to have such a great mom with such a great career that affords me the ability to travel. I am very grateful for the rare opportunity I have been given by being able to travel and experience the world at such a young age.

Currently, I have been to England, France, Wales, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Syria, Monaco, Jordan, UAE, Finland and the US. I would say that I have some experience travelling, haha! I am super grateful for all my travels. 

I decided to start this blog for several reasons. One, I am very good at planning trips and travel. For years, people have asked me to give them recommendations! Now, all my reccomendations will be in one place for everyone to see! Secondly, I believe that sharing my perspective and experience as a 16 year old girl makes my blog different from others. Many people of many different ages travel. This blog gives the perspective of a 16 year old girl who loves to travel and can't wait to do it more!
