Pocket Expense Tracker

This privacy policy applies to the Pocket Expense Tracker application (the "Application") developed by M. Sabir Creations ("Service Provider"). The Application is provided as a Free service and is intended for use "AS IS."

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection and Use

Pocket Expense Tracker is designed to keep your money data on your device. The Application does not require an account and does not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or user accounts.

Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device using local app storage:

Expense and income transactions (amount, category, date, optional note)
Goals and budgets
Currency preference and onboarding status
AI chat conversations and history you create in the app
Other in-app settings needed for the Application to work

This local data is not uploaded to a Service Provider account database. You can delete it in Settings using "Clear all data," or by clearing app data / uninstalling the Application.

Internet Features and Data Sent Off-Device

An internet connection is used only when you use online features. When those features run, limited technical and content data may be processed by third-party services:

AI chat (Pollinations.AI): If you use the AI tab, your message and a summary of your local finance data (such as balances, recent income/expenses, goals, and currency) may be sent to Pollinations.AI to generate a reply. Do not enter sensitive personal information (passwords, bank credentials, ID numbers) in AI chat.
Live exchange rates: The Application may request currency rates from public exchange-rate APIs (including Frankfurter and Currency API) to show rates and support AI answers about currency.
Fonts: The Application may load fonts via Google Fonts, which can involve standard network requests to Google’s font services.

Third-party services may automatically receive technical information such as IP address, device/browser type, and request metadata when your device contacts their servers. That processing is governed by each provider’s own privacy policy.

What We Do Not Collect

No account registration, email sign-in, or Google Sign-In
No social chat, profiles, or online presence
No push notification tokens (FCM)
No advertising SDKs (including AdMob) and no ad consent forms
No Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Authentication, or Firestore used by this Application

Third-Party Services

Depending on features you use, the Application may contact:

Pollinations.AI — AI replies
Frankfurter / Currency API — live exchange rates
Google Fonts — typography
Google Play Services (as provided by the Android platform / store environment)

Each service has its own privacy policy.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

View and manage your local money data inside the Application
Delete AI chat history from within the AI screen (where available)
Use Settings → Clear all data to remove local app data
Uninstall the Application to remove local app storage on most devices

Data Retention

Local data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the Application. Information sent to third-party AI or rate APIs is processed by those providers according to their own retention practices.

Children's Privacy

The Application is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, contact us and we will help with appropriate steps.

Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate for a local-first app, including HTTPS/TLS when contacting online services. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Application after changes means you accept the updated policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we revise this document.
