Welcome to Expense Vault ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, and safeguards your information.

2. Information We Collect

A. Personal Information

We do not collect personal information unless you voluntarily choose to use our Cloud Sync features. If you sign in with Google, we store:

• Email Address: To identify your account and sync data across devices.

• Name & Profile Picture: To display your profile in the app.

B. Financial Data

You may input financial data such as:

• Expense and Income transactions

• Budget limits

• Bank account balances

• Savings goals

Local Mode: If you do not sign in, this data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers. Cloud Mode: If you sign in, this data is securely encrypted and stored on our cloud servers (Supabase) to enable synchronization across your devices.

C. Device & App Information

We may collect non-personal information such as:

• App crash logs (via Google Play Services) to help us fix bugs.

• Performance metrics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality.

• Sync your data securely between your devices.

• Allow you to backup and restore your data.

• Improve the app based on anonymous crash reports.

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or third parties.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Encryption: Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS.

• Access Control: Your cloud data is protected by Supabase's Row Level Security (RLS) and can only be accessed by your authenticated account.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase: For secure cloud database and authentication services.

• Google Sign-In: For authentication.

• Google Play Services: For app distribution and crash reporting.

6. Data Deletion

You have the right to delete your data at any time.

1. Open Expense Vault.

2. Go to Settings > Data Management.

3. Tap "Delete Account & Data". This will permanently remove all your data from our servers and your local device.

7. Children's Privacy

Expense Vault is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
