Privacy Policy — Expense Tracker

This privacy policy applies to the Android app Expense Tracker (package name com.bgappsch.expensetracker), published by BG Apps ("we", "us"). We take your privacy seriously: the app was designed so that your financial data never leaves your device.
1. Data stored on your device only
All content you create in the app — transactions, amounts, currencies, categories, notes, payment methods, budgets, recurring rules, and settings — is stored only locally on your device in the app's private storage. We maintain no server, account system, or access to this information. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party by the app's own features.
2. Exports and backups
The app offers CSV, Excel, or PDF export, plus Excel-based backup and restore. When you use any of these features, the app creates a file and hands it to the Android share dialog (for exports and backups) or lets you pick a file via the Android file picker (for restore). File destination and source decisions rest entirely with the user. The app itself does not perform uploads.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect advertising IDs, IP addresses, coarse location data, and device information for ad delivery and measurement. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you will be asked for consent via a consent dialog before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice anytime under More → Privacy options in the app.
4. Permissions
The app requests no Android permissions beyond internet access used by the advertising SDK. It does not access contacts, location, camera, microphone, or files.
5. Children
The app is intended for adults (18+) managing their personal finances and is not directed at children.
6. Data deletion
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data. Users can delete individual items within the application.
7. Changes to this policy
Policy updates will be published at the same URL with updated dates.
