This Privacy Policy describes how Expense Tracker - Analyser ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

By choosing to use our App, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

The core functionality of Expense Tracker - Analyser is to help you track and categorize your financial expenses automatically. To achieve this, the App requests permission to read your SMS messages (READ_SMS and RECEIVE_SMS).

What we do with this permission:

- The App scans incoming transaction alerts from your bank or financial institutions to extract the transaction amount, merchant name, and date.

- All SMS parsing and data extraction happens strictly LOCALLY on your device.

What we DO NOT do:

- We DO NOT transmit your SMS messages, financial data, or any personal information to our servers.

- We DO NOT share, sell, or rent your personal or financial data to any third parties.

2. Local Data Storage

All your expense data, transaction history, and categorized records are stored locally in a secure database on your personal device. Because we do not use external cloud servers for core storage, you are entirely in control of your data. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, your records will be permanently deleted from the device.

3. Advertising

We use third-party advertising companies, specifically Google AdMob, to serve advertisements when you visit our App.

These third parties may use information (such as Advertising IDs and device information) to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. Google’s advertising requirements can be summed up by Google’s Advertising Principles. They are put in place to provide a positive experience for users.

4. Log Data

In the case of an error in the App, we may collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the App when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs to improve the App's stability.

5. Security

We value your trust in providing us with your personal information, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. All your core financial data is processed and stored locally. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
