Expense Logger ("the App") is developed and maintained by Sukhjinder Singh ("the Developer"). This policy explains how the App handles your information. The short version: it doesn't collect any.

Data Collection

The App does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data whatsoever. All financial transactions, categories, accounts, and settings you enter are stored locally on your device only. The Developer has no access to this data and it never leaves your device except through your own personal iCloud account (see below).

 iCloud Backup

If you enable the Auto-Backup feature, the App writes JSON backup files to your personal iCloud Drive container, visible in the Files app under iCloud Drive → Expense Logger → Backups. If iCloud is unavailable, backups are saved to local app storage instead.

This data is stored entirely within your own Apple ID and iCloud account, managed by Apple. The Developer cannot access, view, or retrieve your iCloud data under any circumstances.

 In-App Purchases

In-App Purchases (the lifetime unlock and optional tips) are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. The Developer does not receive, store, or have access to any payment information, credit card details, or billing data.

Notifications

The App uses local notifications only — reminders for upcoming repeating transactions are scheduled on your device and never routed through any server. The App does not use remote push notifications.

File Access

The App can open CSV and TSV files from your Files app for transaction import. Files are read locally on your device and are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere. A preview is always shown before any data is imported.

Analytics & Tracking

The App contains no third-party analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising SDKs, or any form of user tracking. No usage data, device identifiers, or behavioural data are collected or shared.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. No personal data of any kind is collected from any user.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or analytics platforms. The only external service used is Apple's own StoreKit for processing in-app purchases.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
