This Privacy Policy describes how the "Expense Splitter" mobile application ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use it. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, account information, contacts, location data, photos, files, or analytics. The App does not require you to sign up, create an account, or provide any personal details to use any of its features.
All numbers you type into the App — including bill amounts, number of people, and tip percentages — are processed entirely on your device. None of this information leaves your device, and none of it is sent to us or to any third party.
2. HOW THE APP WORKS
The App performs simple arithmetic on your device to calculate tip amounts, total amounts, and per-person shares. Your inputs and results are held only in the App's temporary memory and are cleared when you close the App or tap the "Reset" button.
3. SHARING FEATURE
The App includes a "Share Result" button that uses your device's built-in sharing functionality. When you tap this button, your device opens its standard share sheet so you can choose an app (such as a messaging or email app) to send the result to. We do not see, log, or transmit anything you share. Whatever you share is sent through the third-party app you select, and that app's own privacy policy applies.
4. PERMISSIONS
The App requests the standard Internet permission. This permission is required by the underlying mobile framework and may be used for system-level operations such as receiving optional future app updates through the framework. The App itself does not transmit any personal or usage data over the internet.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or similar services within the App.
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the user's jurisdiction). The App is safe for use by people of all ages because it does not collect or transmit data.
7. DATA SECURITY
Because we do not collect or store any of your data, there is no personal data for us to secure on your behalf. All of your inputs remain on your device and are subject to the security of your device itself.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data for you to request, correct, or delete from us. You can uninstall the App at any time to remove it from your device.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, post a notice within the App or on the App's store listing. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
