Privacy Policy – Expense Diary
Effective Date: 28 August 2026
Expense Diary is designed to help users record and manage their personal income, expenses, savings, and related financial records. We respect your privacy and aim to keep your personal financial information under your control.
Information Stored by the App
Expense Diary allows users to enter financial information such as income, expenses, categories, dates, and other transaction-related records. This information is used to provide the app's expense tracking, records, calendar, dashboard, and reporting features.
Expense Diary does not require users to create an account or provide personal identification information to use the app.
Local Data Storage
Financial records created in Expense Diary are primarily stored locally on the user's device. The developer does not operate a server for collecting or storing users' personal financial records.
Microphone and Voice Entry
Expense Diary may request microphone access when the user chooses to use voice-entry functionality. Microphone access is used only to enable the requested voice-input feature. Users may use manual entry instead and can manage microphone permission through their device settings.
Backup, Import and Export
Expense Diary provides features that allow users to create portable backups and import previously created backups. Users may also choose to export or share supported files through services or applications available on their device.
When users choose to save, share, upload, email, or otherwise transfer an exported or backup file to a third-party service, that service's own privacy policy and security practices apply. Users are responsible for deciding where their exported or backup files are stored.
App Security
Expense Diary may provide optional app-lock or biometric security features. Availability and operation of biometric authentication depend on the user's device and Android system.
Advertising
The current version of Expense Diary does not integrate a third-party advertising service. Areas of the interface may contain advertising placeholders, but these placeholders do not themselves collect advertising data.
If advertising services are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy and relevant Google Play disclosures will be updated as required.
Third-Party Services
Certain optional functions, such as voice recognition, biometric authentication, file sharing, or opening exported files, may rely on Android system features or third-party applications/services selected or configured by the user. Information handled by those services is subject to their respective privacy policies.
Data Sharing
The developer does not sell users' personal financial records. Expense Diary does not intentionally transmit users' locally stored transaction records to the developer.
Users may voluntarily export or share their own data using the app's backup, export, or sharing functionality.
Data Retention and Deletion
Users can edit or delete transaction records through the app. Users can also delete locally stored app data by using applicable app/device controls or by uninstalling the application.
Portable backup or exported files saved outside the application are controlled by the user and must be deleted separately from the location where the user chose to save them.
Children's Privacy
Expense Diary is a general personal finance utility and is not specifically designed or directed toward children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Expense Diary's features, data practices, or third-party services change. The effective date displayed above will be updated when appropriate.
