How to manage personal finance with Spreadsheets.
We have seen much evolution in expense tracking and budget planning in recent decades, but nothing has come to competition when it comes to excel sheets and even now excel sheets are better when it's on cloud.
MS Excel sheets are not that popular as much as Google Spreadsheets are. Almost everyone now has a google account when it comes to personal email account and as google provides 15GB free storage, people use it a lot for their personal data keeping.
Spreadsheets are widely used now because of very specific reasons and no app has ever able to compete with it.
- Spreadsheets are secure and trustful mainly because it's owned by google and with its brand popularity.
- Made for business primarily and hence all required functions are there for basic budget planning.
- Easy to share and can be used on multiple device with real time data changes.
Although there is one area where spreadsheets are not best is using those on mobile applications, And that is where we really needed and app as most of the transactions are done while we are away from our laptops/macbooks.
Also we want some additional features like being reminded about making entry about transactions and expenses.
Given these marvellous features that spreadsheets offers, we thought why to create an unnecessary app that cannot compete with spreadsheet like features and flexibility. But to solve only one problem of spreadsheets that it's not perfect on mobile devices.
