Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, known as IIT Kanpur or IITK, is an institute of national importance established by the Government of India in 1959. It is one of the first Indian Institutes of Technology and was set up with assistance from a consortium of nine U.S. universities under the Kanpur Indo-American Programme (KIAP). The institution initially operated from a temporary campus before moving to its permanent campus, which spans around 1055 acres, in Kalyanpur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. IIT Kanpur is renowned for its excellence in education and research, particularly in engineering, science, and technology.
How to Reach IIT Kanpur
Arrival by Air: Kanpur is mostly served by the airport of the city of Lucknow and is about 1 hour and 45 minutes drive from IIT Kanpur. Prepaid taxis/Ola/Uber are available. The one way fare is about Rs 2500.

It takes about 40 minutes to an hour to drive from Kanpur Central railway station to IIT Kanpur.
