Here is a list of my work and home projects.
When patients undergo a course of radiotherapy, the underlying biology is quite complex. One aspect is the repopulation of the cancer cells after a number of days into treatment. To ensure effective treatment, it is important to deliver adequate biologically effective dose (BED). Unfortunately due to health issues and otherwise, patients may miss their treatment fractions for which a compensation strategy must be derived by the physicists. A common approach is to deliver bi-daily treatment fractions for every missed fraction but limiting to 6 total fractions per week. This GUI allows the physicists to dynamically evaluate various compensation options to marking days as 'gaps' or 'bi-daily' and comparing the BED values.
