Alessandra Rotundi is an astrophysicist, full professor at the Parthenope University in Naples. Since she was a PhD student (between Paris and Naples, Federico II University) she's been interested in comets and their contribution to the origin of life on Earth. During and after her PhD she has been working at University of New Mexico (USA) and University of Kent (UK). She has analyzed the samples of the comet Wild-2 (NASA mission) and she has been P.I. of the GIADA instrument as part of the ROSETTA mission (ESA). She is the National CoPI of Comet Interceptor, ESA's next cometary mission.
Laura is a post-doctoral researcher at the Parthenope University of Naples, where she is also teaches Physics. Her research focuses on time-domain astronomy, especially on the identification and characterization of pulsating stars in large sky surveys. She is currently involved is several photometric (e.g. LSST) and spectroscopic survey (e.g. SDSS-V), and also in the ESA future space mission: Comet Interceptor.
