The essential companion of your digital photos & videos

The main purpose of this application is to:

- Smart rename your photos and videos and next import them to an iPhoto/Photos library.

Or

- Smart rename your photos and videos and next organize them automaticaly in folders by years / months / days (41 organizational choices)

- Move exact duplicates to trash.

Why do your photos & videos deserve better file names ?

• Media documents have very poor names because they must to be compatible with all existing filesystems.

In most cases, you get basic names such as DSCN4486, IMG_141, DCM_042…

• The best strategy for storing your media documents  is to rename them by their chronological shooting date & time.

The Finder "Creation date" is not a reliable date to use because it's not locked and easy to modify.

Fortunately, the Exif metadatas section of your documents contains usable shooting timestamps.

The trick is to rename the files placing timestamps (as numbers) at the beginning of the file names.

After renaming, your list of documents (sorted by name) will stay sorted by chronological date & time.

4 understandable workflows

Metadatas reader and extractor

• This application uses “ExifTtool”, the top of metadata utility.

• “ExifTool” supports 200 file formats and recognizes thousands of tags (and even Spotlight tags)

• You can integrate up to 20 tags values (ex: GPS coordinates) to the filenames, or export tags values to text files.

This application allows the modification of certain metadata tags (camera model, date, author) and the dates of creation and modification of the documents.
