I own both usha and luminous exhaust fans, where i observed luminous is performance is much greater in suction power due to its more RPM, but both the fans does the job well. When it comes to sound usha is silent in operation, where as luminous produces a bit more sound than usha. For me, I don't really care about the sound. Look and feel of the body, when I compare side by side (Actually no one should compare this way.... but I did it... :) ... ) usha fan looks a bit premium than luminous w.r.t plastic.

Overall end of the day, I did care about only the suction power after installation is done in all my bathrooms. I vote for Luminous first and next it's Usha.

Quiet fan, Good Lighting

I bought and installed this fan. I am a woman with limited experience installing electronics. I bought the fan to replace another fan that was extremely loud. When I took the other fan out, I took pictures thinking it would be easy to just put this one back in. This one had different colors and connected differently. I looked at some of the reviews and questions answered to get myself on the right track. I also checked out a couple of different You Tube videos for similar products. When I first installed, I had a couple of the switches mixed up, so I took them apart and switched them around and got a working fan! It is extremely quiet. I am so delighted. It took me longer to take out the old fan than to put in the new one.
