File Commentary (since withdrawn)

NOTE THESE CHANGES HAVE BEEN WITHDRAWN

Key change: parametric equations for a line of solutions are required for Excellence.

The new Low-E exemplar has a set of parametric equations for the equation of a line of intersection. It's otherwise the same, with more student work inserted in the "line of solutions" part.

The new High-M exemplar does NOT have this, and makes it clear that to get to Low-E, the parametric equations are REQUIRED: "To reach Excellence, the student needs to find a general solution to the second case." (This doesn't quite match the clarification, which says the parametric equation "could" be evidence of E).

New Low-E is the old Low-E exemplar plus a bit more, as above.

New High-M is the old Low-E exemplar.

New Low-M is the old High-M exemplar.

There do not seem to be any changes to the exemplars of student work for High-A, Low-A or High-NA.

This 2014 archive file (above) will remain available until 2019.

The new version (below) was uploaded by NZQA in May 2018, then withdrawn. It will kept available, for now.
