XL Health
Xl Health is our healthcare and community company and the sister company of EMS. XL health is a community interest company which means it is a not-for-profit organisation and was born out of a need to improve and provide healthcare in our communities.
XL Health was founded one evening after our operating partners were providing health checks and screening on the homeless community in Durham after completing multiple health checks and providing basic care to those in need that evening a member of the public approached them and asked if they could check over a man who had recently been involved in a fight, this man didn’t look right to Andrew and Anthony and they advised him to take a seat in the ambulance after performing checks and screening they made the decision to blue light this patient into the hospital. Two hours later a phone call came through from a cardiovascular surgeon who informed them that the patient had been hours away from death and thanks to their actions and decisions he was going to survive. With that telephone call the decision was made that no member of our community should be deprived of healthcare.
To enable us to provide care to the most vulnerable in our societies XL Health have commercial interest services enabling us to fund activities in our communities. These services include home care, occupational health, and airport services. A relatively new part of the XL Health services is XL Health Welfare formed after merging both our community interest activities and event welfare from EMS into the organisation.
