Some people are likely to have very little energy and to sleep a lot.
Some people might have more energy and be more active than usual.
Sometimes people might stop eating or eat too much.
Some people’s behaviour might change; for example, they might be more irritable than usual.
Some people might be worrying more than usual, or have unusual thoughts, including wanting to hurt themselves.
Question: How long do mental health problems last?
Answer: Some mental health problems may last for a long time, for example having a phobia of spiders. However, about half of people with common mental health problems are no longer unwell after 18 months.
