Learning from experience is important to improve the way we manage future incidents. Holding joint debriefs with responder organisations is a great way to identify any difficulties people may have had.
A debrief can also be used to identify those things that went well. This information can be used to update emergency plans or procedures, allowing us to capture lessons and share notable practices with responder organisations across the UK via JOL Online.
Joint Organisational Learning (JOL) is accepted as the standard for all responders. It helps to build further understanding and improve joint working at future incidents.
