August 6/7th: First Day of School

Learning Target: I can explain Mr. Williams' expectations of me in this class.

Activator: Students will create name tent & share. 

Activities: Students will learn a little about Mr. Williams and about the class: First Day of School Slideshow.  

Activities:

1. Students will complete their first thinking map - a circle map over themselves.

2. Students will pair up and create a double bubble map, comparing and contrasting each other; students will then share their map.

Closure: Students will share a question they have, one thing they want to learn about, and one thing they'd like Mr. Williams to know.
