Conference Format

The conference will be divided in plenary sessions with keynote speakers and paper sessions. The format of the conference, combined with a small number of participants, is conducive to generating intense conversations among the attendees. Questions, debates, and discussions will be actively encouraged.

Paper sessions will give the opportunity to present (and get feedback on) early-stage work on exaptation and inverse-driven innovation. The topics are specified in the 'Call for Papers' section.

The deadline for long-abstract submissions is:

February 10th 2018

Long abstracts must be submitted to:

exaptation2018@gmail.com

Long abstract should not exceed 1.200 words. Acceptance of long abstracts will be communicated on February 11th.

Some papers presented during the conference may be considered for eventual publication as chapters in the forthcoming book:

'New frontiers in evolutionary innovation: Novelty creation in an unpredictable economy', edited by Gino Cattani and Mariano Mastrogiorgio, forthcoming in March 2019 with the OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS.
